Well I am going to be leaving the country of Spain in about four to six hours. Right now I am in the train station waiting to board leaving from Madrid, Spain all the way to Lisboa (Lisbon), Portugal. In total it will be around a nine to ten hour ride. Luckily it is considered a night train which basically means I sleep on the train (I upgraded to have a bed) and when I arrive in Lisboa it will be morning there.
Just calcuatated mileage to see how far I have gone: once arriving in Lisboa tommorrow it will be about 1,917 miles. That does not include the walking around the various cities (sometimes lost, but the majority not). Speaking of many miles of traveling, my suitcase did not make it. Sure it was a used one that according to the person I borrowed it from it was already breaking. The wheels on the old suitcase by defintion probably aren't wheels anymore because they are not that round anymore. Ended up buying a new one that should make it through the rest of these rough roads and sidewalks in both Europe and Jordan.
I am in the process figuring out how to put pictures on the blog from the various places I have visited. It shouldn't be that hard but the blogs controls are based off the language from the country I am currently in (at least I can't figure out how to change them to English yet). Since they are in Spanish I have made some progess: I have at least been able to figure out how to put a slideshow on the blog, but those are not my pictures. I am not that good of a photographer. Now it is saying I need to create flickr or photobucket album in order to play in the slideshow. Hopefully will get that together shortly.
Well I am going to tomar mi equipaje de almacenamiento y comer antes de subir al tren. Voy a escribir en unos pocos días cuando tengo algo de tiempo. Adiós

¿cómo se dice...
Well I have made my way out of the big cities and now am in the border of Spain and France. Thankfully I am on the Spanish side because now I can communicate a lot better. Was on the train all day starting yesterday the 20th at about eleven p.m. Just wanted to see how far I could go in one day, was planning to be in Spain tomorrow and not expecting for today. So I will be relaxing on the beach tomorrow and keep planning this Europe adventure. Next stop is going to be a town called Bilboa, might be spelled wrong. It's about two hours via train from where I am now, San Sebastian. Mid to end of this week will be in portugal enjoying those beaches and than will start to make my way back to the bigger cities, such as Madrid, Barcelona, Roma, etc. There is a parade or something going on outside in the middle of the downtown area so I am going to see what it is about. Everyone take care.

Arrival in Europe
Bonjour!
I have made it to the interesting continent of Europe. My plane landed in London August 17th at about 1:30 in the afternoon. Even after lighting storms held me over in Minnesota for awhile the pilots made some good time and I was able to see some London before it was to late. I say the continent of Europe so far is interesting for a couple of reasons. One is you have these really old buildings (an example is Britain's House of Parliament, more people know it as "Big Ben") and than right next door is newly constructed buildings. Plus the roadways in different locations consist of asphalt, cobblestone, or the mix of the two. Another interesting point is that in listening to other people, English is not the main language being spoken. You can speak to them in English and they do convert to that language when needed, but its not their first choice to speak. From what I know about other languages, there is a lot of Celtic variations and French being spoken (hence the greeting). So far I have just seen some of the tourist area in London (Big Ben, Waterloo station, House of Commons, etc.). Today will continue visiting London and than purchase some train tickets to start heading down south into other countries. Where eventually English will become less and less common, but that is one main reason I have made this trip: to learn more language (specifically Arabic, but that will still have to wait). Hopefully everyone is enjoying the warm weather in the states wherever you may live, because it does get quite cold on this continent. Well off to get some breakfast and tea.
p.s.- pictures will come shortly, still need to figure out how to work them
